~A guide to HEALTHY stress and sadness relief~ So, I've noticed that a lot of people on here are very stressed. But the ways they deal with this stress is indeed very negative. So...I decided to write some tips on some coping mechanisms to deal with your stress and overt sadness. 1) Remove the stressful situation: -Many people have a main reason for their stress. This reason could be why they are so stressed or sad (obviously) and for some people, removing that thing from their life helped them. For example, back in 9th grade, I had a friend. She was very stressed, due to the pressure some of our peers put on her to comply to their wants and needs. When she cut them out of her life, she got better. 2) Find a hobby: -Sometimes, finding a hobby can help you to forget your stress. For example, in my situation. I began to write poetry based on my experiences and it helped to relive my sadness. And I began to start dancing. It helped me let all of my excess stress loose and in the long run, I was actually able to sleep at night, without waking up 7 times. (My most times waking up in the night was 13 times) 3) Find help: -For some, finding help is the choice. Some people just need to talk out their feelings with somebody. Some people just need to rant, some want advice on what to do. Whether it's a professional-therapist or a friend or family-member, it can help. For example, my best friend. He was having problems with an incident in the past. He reached out to me for help, because I'm the kind of person who will let you rant to me, or ask me for advice on things. That's actually how we became friends in the first place. I hope you all find a coping mechanism that works for you.
