Probably dictionary so you could assign each student as a key and the phone number as the entry, or vice-versa.
A list could also store lots of data, but it wouldn't be as easy to edit or lookup compared to a dictionary for this specific context, since it is ordered by index, instead of key-value pair like dictionary is
