Based on the diagram, it is *only* composed of carbon atoms. Eliminating choices C and D which contain other atoms. Now it can get a bit tricky - there are 6 atoms in the zoomed in part, but graphite is **not** composed of molecules of 6 carbons. It is composed of sheets of carbon. With that in mind, do you think formula C or C6 is better?

I know this is a little confusing ^^ C6 would imply separate molecules that have 6 carbons each. But if we look at the molecule, it’s composed of much much larger sheets that contain more than 6 each. Simply “C” is the more accurate description of what graphite is.
