@Alfagg sorry for spelling it wrong :)

men:

im doing math here

Alfagg:

ok

men:

if andrew bought 16 pears and ate 4 pears then

Alfagg:

nevermind, i figured it our

men:

oh ok

Alfagg:

i have a few more tho

Sock:

just to be sure what answer to do come to?

Alfagg:

64%

men:

no..

Sock:

that would be incorrect

Alfagg:

oof...

Sock:

excuse my grammar also

men:

if he ate 4 out of 16

men:

it would not be that

Sock:

ok so here is how I would figure it out

men:

Given that Andrew bought 16 pears. he ate 4 pears We are to find the percentage of pears that Andrew ate

Sock:

do 16 / 4

Alfagg:

oh, well, this is why i need help, i suck at math.

Sock:

16 / 4 = ?

men:

16/4

men:

what would that give u

Alfagg:

umm....

Sock:

then whatever answer you get you to multiply each percentage by that number until it one of the answers is 100

ok so think of it this way if your having trouble with the division, what times 4 will give you 16

Sock:

to put it in even more simpler terms just count up by 4's until you get to sixteen then count how many 4's it took to get there

Alfagg:

how many times does 4 go into 16?

Sock:

yes

Alfagg:

4 times

Sock:

good now multiply 4 by each percentage until one of the answers is 100

Sock:

and whichever one that is, that's your answer

Sock:

so what would 4 x 25 = ?

Knockout3000:

25%

Alfagg:

25%

Alfagg:

the answer is 25%?

Sock:

yes that is correct!

Alfagg:

thank you!!!

Sock:

np :)
