Number 1 is sort of tricky, they are similar in the way the both can produce images that are sequential. Idk if that would be a valid answer though. Number 2 is easy, it gives a more authentic look, and allows them to be hands on with their work and mold it however they wish.
3. What advantages would working with large pixels have over working with small pixels? Higher Pixels result in an overall better quality, compared to small pixels which could leave a bad resolution / quality.
What do you think the hardest part of creating CGI images is? Accuracy is key, making realistic CGI that can move, talk and do just about anything a regular humans can is what i would say is the hard part.
