It was a typical Friday night in Tulsa. Ponyboy Curtis lay in his bed looking out his window at the glorious sunset. “Damn, that's beautiful.” he said. He heard someone walking up the stairs and turned around and waited for the person to open the door. He was surprised to see Johnny standing there. “Hey pony.” “Hey Johnny. Watcha doin’ here this late?” “I came to see you, Pony.” After an awkward moment of silence Johnny went to sit down. They talked for a bit then when the sun hit its point of pinky orangy glory Pony noticed Johnny had this look in his eyes. “What?” said Pony with a little laugh. “Nothing. It it it’s just that you look great in the sunset.”
“Okay?” said Pony. Even more awkward silence followed. They stayed quiet until the sun went down. Johnny asked if it was alright with Pony that he stayed the night. He said he could. Halfway through the night Johnny whispered “Hey Pony? You awake?” “Yeah why?” “I just I feel somethin’ when I'm with you.” “What ya mean Johnny?” “I mean I feel like a-a-a spark when I’m with you.” There was a pause for a couple seconds then Pony responded with “Like, love?” “Yeah Pony that's what I feel when I’m with you.” “Johnny! Thi-This is a lot to take in. I just can't believe tha-'' He was interrupted as Johnny kissed him on the lips. After a minute or two he retracted his lips from Pony’s. “I-I-I’m sorry Pony I don't know what came over me. When dawn broke Pony and Johnny woke. “Goddamn Pony. I didn't know you could do that.” “Heh I didn't either Johnny.” After that they had a long and prosperous relationship together. The End
