System of Equations by Elimination

TheUndeadGoblin:

Thats simple agebra aint it

sxdsouls:

8x-9y=-17 -9x-18y=-9

TheUndeadGoblin:

o

MusicGeek:

You have to multiply the top equation by -2 and you would get -16x+18y=34. Then you add the equations together and you will get -25x=25. Divide both sides by -25 and you will get x=-1. So after that you just plug it in. I would plug it in -9x-18y=-9. That will change to 9-18y=-9. Subtract 9 to both sides and you get -18y=-18. Divide both sides by -18 and you get 1. So the answer is (-1,1).

sxdsouls:

thank you again lmao
