Mustafa’s soccer team is planning a school dance as a fundraiser. The DJ charges $200 and decorations cost $100. The team decides to charge each student $5.00 to attend the dance. If n represents the number of students attending the dance, which equation can be used to find the number of students needed to make $1,500 in profit?

AZ:

The costs are 200 for DJ and 100 for decorations. That's a total of $300. You want to make a profit of 1,500 which means you need to make 1500+300 = 1800 dollars so that way you'd make a profit of 1500. If you're charging each student 5 dollars and there's 'n' number of students each ticket is 5 dollars and there's 'n' students and if you multiply 5 and 'n' that's how much money you make from selling 'n' number of tickets and you want that to be greater than 1800 how would you write that all as an equation?
