Point XXX is located at (3, 2)(3,2)left parenthesis, 3, comma, 2, right parenthesis. Point YYY is located at (3, -8)(3,−8)left parenthesis, 3, comma, minus, 8, right parenthesis. What is the distance from point XXX to point YYY?
Its for math it wouldn't let me put it in math sorry
do you just mean point x and point y and a point is only (x,y) not (a,b)(c,d)
Im trying to find out how many units
assuming point X is (3,2) and point Y is (3,-8), the distance between them, because they have hthe same x-value, is just 2-(-8) which is 10 Or you could do pythag theorem: sqrt((2-(-8)) + (3-3)^2) which is just sqrt(10^2)) = 10
it's a formatting issue when she copy pasted the question Point X is located at (3, 2). Point Y is located at (3, -8) What is the distance from point X to point Y?
okay I assumed right then
10 units apart
thank you
its not 10 united I tried it didn't work

Plot the points (-3,-4)(−3,−4)left parenthesis, minus, 3, comma, minus, 4, right parenthesis and (6,-4)(6,−4)left parenthesis, 6, comma, minus, 4, right parenthesis on the coordinate plane below. What is the distance between these two points? What is the Unit
Since it's in the same line, it's just as simple as counting how many units apart they are
valid distinction, all you need is two points to make a line haha
Sooo it is 10 units casue I tried and the answer was wrong I still get more trys but I need help with it trying to find the UNIT
No its not it was 9 units
Thanks for trying to help me
well maybe the machine is not having a good day because it's wrong
Well maybe
thank you
