Does anyone know how to write story plot? Or, more so, how to you advance the plot of a story?

So you have an idea for a story right? How do you envision it going? The best advice I have is to write your story in one sitting, that way your thoughts are all one and it flows like a river.

Yes, I do have something in mind for a story and I will try what you said. Thank you so much!!

Make sure you take it slow though. I think that for stories if there's a huge conflict, show how the main character's life was before the conflict. Give the readers a reason to understand the main characters reasons for fighting, whether the reason is good or bad.
