what could be an good thesis for automobiles? (introduction paragraph)
A thesis is a sentence (typically at the end of your introduction) that states your argument/claim/main point. What exactly is your main point??
Are you allowed to write about anything pertaining to automobiles? I am just curious, because this thesis you wrote here says automobiles are reliable, but your hook that you write earlier kind of suggests otherwise by stating that your car has run out of gas
If you want to! Just so we can see exactly what to write about
So either we can change your hook, or change your thesis. Which one would you rather change?/
Okay! Well then lets make the thesis about gas consumption of sorts. So I see this has to be an informative essay, so we don't want to make it argumentative in any way. So let's stick with providing information on how much gas a car consumes
ok, so i could say "Gasoline is as important as electricity for lighting, milk in the refrigerator or natural gas or heating oil for ardor in winter. "
is this good sammi?
uhh sammi? @sammixboo
My apologies! I was taking care of something. And honestly, a thesis would be a bit more direct. I would say something more along the lines of "Cars can consume a lot of gasoline, and not many people know how much exactly."
yes indeed i understand, so "The study components of retail gasoline prices consist of the cost of sensitive oil to refiners, federal and state taxes, and the cost to manufacture, distribute, and market the gasoline." Could this be my thesis or is it too long?
So that is about the price of gas, not necessarily the consumption of gas. If you want to write about that, we would have to change the hook up some still!
Yeah that will work!
