If you want an artificially bioengineered piece of bread, you'd probably primarily want to use different plant species's DNA samples. Animal DNA probably wouldn't work the same way, and we'd get a mutant walking bread.
littleraw27:
yes

I have no words for this question but this does work with plants- I think but in a completely diff way...its complicated bro

Yes indeed you can but it takes a lot of money and research. Bioengineering is something that scientists are still working on however and arent 100% sure it works. They know that they can do it with plants and are currently in the process of genetically engineering animals. The process takes quite a bit of research as it is something we dont know a lot about.
minustempo:
You can change DNA to pretty much make anything, except we don't have the tech to make everything yet.
Jurassic Park could be real if we wanted it to be.

For example usually fruit trees involve the roots of one tree fused onto the fruit tree itself. One of my trees currently has apple tree roots and its a peach tree. We are able to do this on plants with success. It is working quite well in fact. Without different roots the tree would most likely die because the area I am in has strong winds. They created this tree in order to be able to stand the strong winds and produce fruit. Genetic engineering is a very costly but so far effective way of life. Some people have bias against it however because they claim god hasn't meant for it to be this way. I personally don't believe in god so it isn't a problem for me.

very informative
I also want to add that 'god hasn't meant for it to be this way' is a useless statement, if god doesn't want it he can stop it :/

Also when you consider how long the earth has been here, 20 years is not very long at all

infusing DNA with something else takes way too much time and money to even work, and there's even the chance that what you make is a mistake
