Which sequences are geometric? Check all that apply. –2, –4, –6, –8, –10, … 16, –8, 4, –2, 1 –15, –18, –21.6, –25.92, –31.104, … 4, 10.5, 17, 23.5, 30, … 625, 125, 25, 5, 1, …

minustempo:

Pretty much what intrinix said, except that a geometric sequence is \(k, kx, kx^2, kx^3,\) etc where x is something called the common ratio, which can be any number except 0.

Extrinix:

Crap I deleted it x.x

Extrinix:

Time to rewrite it

Extrinix:

A geometric sequence goes by \(a,ax,ax^2,ax^3,ax^4,ax^5,ax^6,\)etc So for example \(2,2(3),2(3)^2, 2(3)^3, 2(3)^4,2(3)^5,\) etc Which would give you something like \(2,6, 18, 54, 162, 486,\) etc

GeekGold:

Agreed

Brainster:

Thank you very much yall

Extrinix:

No problem ^^
