. (04.04 MC) Part A: A graph passes through the points (0, 2), (2, 6), and (3, 12). Does this graph represent a linear function or a non-linear function? Explain your answer in words. Part B: Write one example of a linear function and one example of a non-linear function. (Use x and y as the variables) (10 points)

snowflake0531:

Part A: use the slope formula, if the slope between (0,2) and (2,6) is equal to (2,6) and (3,12) then it would be linear Part B: linear is y = mx + b replace m and b with whatever you wish as long as it's rational non-linear: with x that has an exponent, for example, y = x^2
