@kjsaif

Tranquility:

Distribute the -1 inside the parenthesis so essentially the sign flips from -6 to + 6

Tranquility:

and then add the like terms

IhelpUuHELPme:

First two steps would always be distribute and combine like terms👀

QuestionCoveBot:

So then it becomes; 15x + 6 = 104 ? Then subtract 6 on both sides, right?

Tranquility:

Since you expressed some confusion about distributing the negative sign in DMs, perhaps this can clarify it a little

Don't forget that there was initially an `x - ` before the (15x-6) so it would actually be x - 15x + 6 = 104

QuestionCoveBot:

Oh, right. So then now you subtract x - 15x which is -14x? Then you subtract 6 on both sides?

QuestionCoveBot:

X= -7 So D.

Tranquility:

Well done

Tranquility:

That is correct

QuestionCoveBot:

Thank you

Tranquility:

You're welcome
