think of the function as three pieces and write the inequality for each one

for the first segment, notice how it's a straight horizontal line at y = -2 that goes up to, but doesn't include, -2 (notice the open circle). therefore, this part would best be described as g(x) = -2 for x < -2 (the second bullet point).

can you try writing inequalities for the other two parts? (the middle slanted line and the right slanted line?)
