help A pool company is creating a blueprint for a family pool and a similar dog pool for a new client. Which statement explains how the company can determine whether pool STUV is similar to pool WXYZ? quadrilaterals STUV and WXYZ Translate WXYZ so that point W of WXYZ lies on point S of STUV, then translate WXYZ so that point X of WXYZ lies on point T of STUV. Translate WXYZ so that point X of WXYZ to point T of STUV, then dilate WXYZ by the ratio segment XW over segment TS. Translate WXYZ so that point X of WXYZ lies on point T of STUV, then translate WXYZ so that point W of WXYZ lies on point S of STUV. Translate WXYZ so that point W of WXYZ lies on point S of STUV, then dilate WXYZ by the ratio segment TS over segment XW.

SmokeyBrown:

Hi and welcome to QuestionCove! You would want to translate the one of the shapes so that one of the points matches its corresponding point on the other shape. Then, you would either dilate the larger shape by a factor of smaller-measure/larger-measure or dilate the smaller shape by a factor of larger-measure/smaller-measure. The dilation factor has to be found using side lengths which are proportional to each other

iSuckAtMath101:

so would the 4th option be accurate?

SmokeyBrown:

Yes, I think that is the right answer!
