I need help with writing characters. How do I make my characters stand out from others personality wise? What are some good and bad traits I should add?

well if they are dead, every soul is different so you can put it like that and every soul has a different personality

Good Lord. These suggestions need some work. Okay, I'll help you out kiddo.

For character traits, let's just start off with the main character, who I assume will be the hero. Some good character traits would be bravery, a sense of humor, honesty, honor, selflessness, and loyalty, just to name a few. Some negative traits could be that they have a short temper, or they're judgmental, or they don't trust many people. You could even take a good quality and flip it to a negative one. Say the main character is extremely loyal, so much so, that they're willing to sacrifice the world to save a friend of theirs. And that's just one idea you could use.

So yeah, hope these suggestions help.

make them look different by having uniqe character traits and weird quirks that they have, with other stuff to them like weird facts about themself. For how it works for me sometimes when I make a character I like to make them a bio, then when I feel ready then I can go back and edit about them. I hope that can work.
