Biology question, need help!
If this helps, my GUESS is that it's B.), The production of ATP. But that's just my guess.
Could you explain why you think it could be B?
All I know is that photosynthesis is dependent on light, and photosynthesis also results in the production of ATP.
Oh, and photosynthesis also releases oxygen!
Okay I'm pretty certain its B now
Thank you
I love the explanation you gave, just one thing! What about the hydrogen ions?
Tbh idk
Okay let's narrow this down. Do you think we can eliminate any of the answer choices?
Well, answer choice C doesn't really make any sense.
Do you know what the splitting of water is?
Nope
But it does not sound like a light-dependent reaction
The best explanation I can give of this is this makes oxygen and hydrogen ions, this is because light dependent reactions convert the solar/Sun energy into chemical carries like it says in A "NADPH" this is then used in a cycle called the "Calvin" cycle. Below is a article on the Calvin cycle if you are confused about that. https://www.nationalgeographic.org/media/calvincycle/
Don't know if that helps I think @vocaloid can explain it better?
I think that is very helpful
So basically the splitting of water means that the water is split into oxygen and hydrogen ions.
Makes sense
I think I'm going to go with b, thank you for your help!
Wait, I don't think B is correct. The production of ATP should actually be eliminated because it has nothing to do with hydrogen ions if i'm correct.
Oh.
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Well then it was to be C, the splitting of water
Awesome! You do understand why that makes sense right? Not just saying that because I explained it?
Yes now I understand it
Makes a lot more sense now
That's perfect!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your night!!
You too, have a good one
Thanks so much!
