math @carmelle
its this right?
\[-5+\sqrt{5^2-4(-1)(-8)}\]
then devided by -2?
thats right right?
yes, that is correct, now keep on going.. can you do the rest?
it wont let me put it in on the calculator it says goto or quit
what do you mean?
like.. when i type the square root of the numbers on the calculator it says error
ok, so you might want to do the calculation by hand because sometimes calculators have errors
yeah no im good lmao
its easy... what is 5^2 equal to?
25
sneak them answers B) lol jp
waittt its -7 right?
ok, what is \[4 \times -1 \times -8\] equal to
i got -7 total
so \[-5+7/2(-1)\]
yes it would be -7, but you must remember, because the discriminant is a negative number (-7) you can stop right there. you cannot move on- the solution to this is: `No real solutions` understood? That is why your calculator kept on saying error btw^
oh lol and yes i got it thank you
np :)
while ur here, help with another one or 2 ?
