Sailor:

You know what Newton's laws are right?

Sailor:

First Law: An object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it Second Law: The force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration Third Law: When two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction

Alphagirl:

Ok……

Sailor:

With a football, it has to be thrown or kicked to move, right?

Sailor:

So that's what the first law basically means.

Sailor:

With the second law, if a football player were to throw/kick a football, it would go a certain distance depending on how hard it was thrown/kicked.

Sailor:

If its thrown/kicked softly, it won't go that far. If it's thrown/kicked hardly, it will go further.

Alphagirl:

Yea

Sailor:

With the third law, if a certain amount of forced is applied a certain type of way, then it ends up affecting the football player somehow. Like for example, if they kick the football the wrong way, they might end up hurting their ankle.

Sailor:

Hope this helps out in some kind of way.

Alphagirl:

Thx

Sailor:

No problem.
