Well we see that the paragraph says
"You have 2 goldfish, each in it's own tank. You continue to feed fish one daily and don't feed the other." I think that would be the problem personally because if you have two fish you should be responsible enough to take care of both. Do you agree?

Well some people don't know what an Independent Variable is so I will write the definition then explain.
In scientific research, the independent variable is the cause of a change in or effect on the dependent variable. "Change or effect on the dependent variable" A dependent variable is just like an independent variable, a dependent variable is exactly what it sounds like. It is something that depends on other factors. So If we look at the picture/question what do we say that changes and has an effect on the actual dependent variable?
