Use the table to write a linear function that relates y to x (table is below)

Use the slope formula of y=mx+b then use 2 ordered pairs to use in our equation. Label them as (X1, Y1) and (X2, Y2) Then plug them into this: \[m=\frac{ Y2-y1 }{ X2-x1 }\] This gives us our "x" variable. Now, for our "b" term aka the y-intercept. we were blessed enough to be given that in the table. This can be found when we have (0, y). So, in other words we need to see when x=0, what is the y-value? In this situation we were given (0,0) so we know our "b" is going to be 0. Make sense?
