When you can "cross out" the same thing in the numerator and denominator, that means you have a hole when it equals 0. in this case, it's just x, so you have a hole at x = 0. you also have (x-4) in the denominator. that means you have a vertical asymptote when x - 4 = 0. what x value makes x - 4 equal 0?
