So, I got 278.5 yards squared and I have no absolute idea how the teacher got that... could someone help me figure out what I got wrong please?

I did \[C=2π \times R\] then got \[C=2π \times 25\] which then got me 50π. Then I added 100+100+50π which gave me 278.5 yards squared...

your logic is correct. you may have made an error when typing the numbers into your calculator. because 50pi is approximately 157.1 which would make 100 + 100 + 50pi closer to 357.1
