Okay so, basically ethics are moral principles that that dictate a person's behavior or thought process. This dilemma thing would probably consist of you having to make a difficult decision, like the trolley problem.

So, you're a guy that refuses to put your feelings before others, but on this particular day you decide to put yourself first. You go to work on this day, and your boss tells you you're being promoted. Here's the problem though. In order to get the promotion, your best friend has to get fired from his position. This completely violates your moral ethics, but you're trying to make sure you keep yourself first.
