The straight lines through each set of data show the overall trend over time. Let's just look at the red graph, the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere in Mauna Loa. Notice how it fluctuates up and down each year (consistent with the seasonal changes per year) but there's an overall trend of it increasing from 350 ppm to 380 ppm from 1989 to 2007. Try to interpret the other graphs using similar logic.
