What do you know about it?

UkuleleGirl:

I know how to combine like terms, its just I'm stuck on the part where there is more than one variable stuck to the number.

Combining like terms. This will be simple. Basically combining like terms is combing two values that are similar to each other. For example: 3xy + 3y+ 3xy - 1 The way this works is we combine anything that looks exactly the same 3xy+3xy is the only thing that can be combined here because it is the only number with the same variables. The question will become "6xy+3y-1." That is the finished equation because nothing else can be combines as none of them are identical to another number. I hope this helps you with future references :]
