what is the difference between morals and manners?
Do you have an idea of what that might be?
why do you think I asked the question?
Well phrased differently, I'm asking what you think about the question? Like what do you think morals or manners might be?
Manners is how we behave towards society and morals is what we learn from stories etc.?
That's a good starting point, I like how you pointed out how manners is "how we behave towards society." The first thing that came to mind was eating at a table.
Morals is perhaps a little more than what we learn from stories, although that's certainly true. But we also learn manners from stories as well.
It's a bit more descriptive to say that morals is what a society believes is right or wrong for a person to do, ethically speaking. What is just and unjust.
alr,TYSM!!
I think the interesting difference is how one might behave according to each at the dinner table. Manners might dictate that someone eat with their fork and knife, and not their hands. If someone ate spaghetti with their hands, well, that's not immoral but it's perhaps rude.
Something immoral might be chucking that spaghetti at someone's face.
great example, i think i got the idea better
Glad it cleared things up
