math help
Ive tried graphing this and am as confused as you are, good luck though!
so, first of all, this is a floor function, and floor functions begin with closed dots, so we can rule out anything that begins with an open dot.
plug in the two values given over the x interval: \[(-3)-2\] and\[(3)-2\]
\[-3-2=-5\] and \[3-2=1\]
so you are correct in the answer you chose, because on the interval [-3,3], y = -5 and 1
I hope this helped!
If it is an open dot it would be )/( and closed dots would be brackets?
Is that what the brackets mean
https://byjus.com/maths/ceiling-function/#:~:text=What%20is%20the%20difference%20between,integer%20for%20a%20specified%20value this should help, the brackets just determine whether or not it is a ceiling or floor function
ceiling functions begin with open dots, and floor functions begin with closed dots.
ok, thank you
yeah np, any other questions, just ask.
