FriskIsNice:

Is it okay to hold in your feelings? Why or Why not.

Astrid1:

Yes and no. Honestly given the thought, it's better for most people not to know but in more serious cases where someone gets depression or feels suicidal maybe its best for them not to hold it in.

Krissy525:

No, because when u do, you end up hurting yourself or others, and coming from someone who always holds in their feelings, it can cause you to treat others based on the way u feel and what u have been through, so no it is not healthy

NoodlesAndRiceYT:

It is not OK to hold in your feelings because the more you bottle it up the more your going to feel awful.

Okay, thank you, although I’ve been doing this for like almost 3-4 years now I think, I needed to know to know if I should keep doing this or not.

Astrid1:

Well has your emotional state gotten worse?

Astrid1:

And are the emotions that your experiences from something you can fix or can't?

iloveyou69:

it depends

@astrid1 wrote:

I honestly can’t tell anymore. Some people may say I’m doing this for attention but I never do.

iloveyou69:

if its something that could hurt you i would hold it in

That's bc most people are idiots and fake it nowadays so it's harder on the people who actually have been or have delt with it.

FriskIsNice:

@astrid1 wrote:

Again, I cannot tell if I can or cannot fix them, I don’t even know what to do if I need to fix them

Astrid1:

Talk to a teacher or parent. As much as that sounds like it doesn't help, in some cases it does.

Astrid1:

or maybe even a friend from school could do.

maths89898:

yes

I’ve tried countless times, my mom says I’m “acting” and my teachers never believe me.

maths89898:

Well, thank you.

itsmehjay:

Holding in your feelings especially if it is something that's been bothering you for a while isn't good for you or your health. You may start to overthink a lot more than you really need to and get stressed out. As one of them probably already said, it's good to talk things out with other people just so you know you aren't alone.
