I am sick today. I have a stuffy nose, my throat is on fire, and I am coughing. Any good remedies?

Sounds a bit like allergies. Take some allergy medicine and get some rest.

Should I keep my inhaler on standby?
bruhgetrekt:
That would be a safe bet. Just in case you have any trouble breathing.

I also have these random periods where I convulse a little(not a seizure, just a small twitch). It’s uncontrollable. Could that also be allergies?
TheWraith2021:
That may just be a muscle spasm. I get them from time to time.

I'd also recommend having some chicken noodle soup. Add extra garlic and maybe some hot chilies. That always makes me feel a bit better. For your throat, you could also get a small pan and heat up some honey and garlic and eat that. That should work as well.
bruhgetrekt:
It could be your body's reaction to the changing seasons
If the spasms get worse, consult a doctor.

My breathing also gets erratic sometimes. I almost immediately recover, though. It’s only today that these symptoms appeared.
TheWraith2021:
Probably just allergies for that one. I wouldn't sweat that too much.
ISayYuh:
gargle salt and warm water

Clove tea and green tea both contain antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to fight against infections while providing relief against sore throats. Raspberry, chamomile, and peppermint tea are great choices for relieving pain and reducing inflammation. For the stuffy nose, i would recommend tea aswell- warm, not to hot. Add some Honey to the tea to help with the sore throat. Honey mixed in tea or taken on its own is a common household remedy for a sore throat. Gargling with warm salt water can help soothe a sore throat and break down secretions. It’s also known to help kill bacteria in the throat. If you like spicy food, you can add some slight hot sauce to your next dish or eat a spicy snack, that can help you sweat out the chance of a cold/fever.

Fevers are good though. Whatever pathogen I have in my system will be killed.

id say to take some Daytime and nighttime advil and also be sure u stay in bed and get some rest.I had this same problem the other day but i got over it after a few days of taking some of this advil and sleeping in. Something for your sore throat would be this brand of coughdrops called ludens,They taste like candy so you dont gotta worry abt a bad taste in ur mouth if ur a picky person like me lol. But i hope u feel better soon and may god bless u

Muscle spasms can sometimes be helped by consuming potassium! Eating a banana may help with that but if it's persistent or really bothering you I'd bring it up with a doctor
