We open the door to a new beginning,

We must view purpose in our own matter,

The way we see others,

She was your perfection,

Like a drug of my own addition,

But time to put that section away,

To open a new door,

Once it’s opened the way that we begin to explain the past is only just the beginning,

Opening to being addicted to you is hard,

good job i like it a lot, though i'm a bit confused. what type of story are you trying to tell? I feel like it isn't apparent, but maybe i'm just having trouble trying to process this. otherwise, the grammar is good, (lots of commas but perhaps that's how it is in a poem), overall very well done :)
