Around which line would the following cross-section need to be revolved to create a sphere? A. y-axis B. y = 1 C. x = 2 D. x = 1
What do you think could be the correct answer? Also do you know which ones could be the correct answers?
"*Also do you know which ones could be the correct answers?*" if she/he did why would they be askin'? 🤔
This requires a little bit of visualizing in your head Imagine taking a flat, circular piece of paper and having it revolve infinitely along its axis. You’ll produce a sphere. (I’ll attach an image that gives you some idea of how it looks. This is a semicircle, but the same idea applies for a circle revolved around its axis) So looking at your circle, where would the appropriate axis be?
I think that the appropriate axis would be at the y-axis.
Perfect, that’s where the diameter of the circle is, so y-axis is correct
Oh thank you so much!
