It would probably be D. Dead leaves are naturally decomposed by other organisms if it's not eaten by a fungus first. Usually, fungi directly decomposes things with wet surfaces. (Living conditions for mold and other fungi plants.) In this case, fungi growing on a dead leaf would be an example of natural decomposition.
