Hi, and welcome to QuestionCove! Well, when I think of matter passing through living things, one example that comes to mind is food. Food is made of matter, and when we or other animals eat food, we are passing that matter through our bodies. Option D does involve matter (in the form of salmon) passing through living (human) bodies. Meanwhile, options A and B involve living things moving around their environment but not matter passing through living bodies, and option C involves energy but not matter passing through living bodies. I think D would be the best answer among the options given
