To find the angle, we first have to do tangent, then do the inverse of tangent. \[\tan \theta =\frac{ o }{ a }\] As shown in the picture attached, the opposite side is 134 and the adjacent is 170. \[tan \theta=\frac{ 134 }{ 170 }=0.7882\] Now to find the angle measurement, we find the inverse of tangent which is: \[\tan^{-1}\] Now, in your calculator, you will put 0.7882 and press the inverse tan button. \[\theta = \tan^{-1} ( 0.7882)\] The final answer you should get is 38.25 which when rounded to the nearest degree is `38.` Therefore, the angle of elevation is `38` degrees.
