How can I get along with my new stepfather, my mom has been bugging me to socialize with him but I feel awkward and uncomfortable around him and it just affects my health

I would suggest trying to find common interests to bond over and spend time with him doing those things. Just generally try to aim to have a friendly relationship.

have a sit down talk with him and ur mother if u want, but just talk to him and find some bonding moments like fishing, drawing, ect.  just find small ways to bond and over time, you'll get use to him and not feel uncomfortable.  That's what i did with my new uncle and it worked pretty well we have a lot in common. Anyway just take your time and let time pass and make bonding moments. :]

it's normal to feel uncomfortable, and I have no idea what situation you're in but I would just suggest well.. talking. Communication is key in all healthy relationships, and as others have been saying, you might find that you have a lot in common with him. Just remember things take time. You might take weeks, months, and maybe years. But I promise you things will get easier. Things might feel awkward at the moment, but you'll get used to him as he stays longer (if he does). If there is something uncomfortable going on, tell your mother or even talk to him. Some people are more understanding then you might think.

Don't be forced to do anything you don't want to do. But try to talk to him. If he starts doing anything that makes you uncomfortable, try to end the conversation. If you feel awkward around him if you guys are in a car or something try to start small talk. You could get along with him well! Good luck!
