Why didn't the North and South get along in the Civil War?

Because the north was all for no slavery but the south needed workers to work for them for free so they wanted to keep the slaves.

They eventuly came up with the agreement they could keep slaves in the states that already had it but no more states will be slave states.. but I think they went back on that and said no slaves in general and then they started fighting after the 11 I think states segregated bfor the USA forming the confederacy army and stuffs

Because the south thought that slave labor was the thing to do while the north did not belive in the use of slaves without pay
