A hexagon labeled ABCDEF is shown will all 6 sides equal in length. ED is labeled as 9 inches. A perpendicular is drawn from the center of the hexagon to the side ED. This perpendicular is labeled as 7.8 inches. Part A: Describe how you can decompose this shape into triangles. Part B: What would be the area of each triangle? it is a 30,60,90 triangle. so diagonal is double the smallest side. diagonal=2*4.5=9 draw a circle with radius as 9 inches. take any point on the circumference.and cut successively 9 inch arcs. Join adjacent points by st. lines. we get a regular hexagon.
