solve the inequality for x I would first start by multiplying both sides by 3 to get rid of those fractions, then distribute the parentheses, then add/subtract as necessary to get all the x-term on one side, then the constants on the other. combine like terms. then divide by the coefficient of the constant to isolate x. (important: if you multiply or divide by a negative number you have to flip the direction of the inequality sign) once you've solved it, it's simply a matter of matching the graph to the solution
