The ratio of green marbles to yellow marbles is 4 green marbles to 6 yellow marbles. If there are 2 green marbles, how many yellow marbles are there?

anthony5012005:

I think u would have 2 yellow bc if u have 6 and 4 u would end up with 2 and 4

jhonyy9:

what mean ratio ? given that there are 4 green marbles to 6 yellow marbles so using the rule of 3 simple you can write if to 4 green marbles correspond 6 yellow marbles so to 2 green marbles correspond x yellow marbles ,and now cross multiplie and calcule the x value 4x = 6*2 x = ?

VladimirPutin:

Think of this. 2 goes into 4 twice. yellow ratio = 6 6 times 2 = ?

VladimirPutin:

Whoops, wrong. Let me retry that.

VladimirPutin:
