what should I add

The United States should not have gone to war against the Mexican people. The war was due to the annexation of Texas as a state of the United States. The war should have not taken place for some reasons, The United States were not the rightful owners of the place. The Mexicans owned it and only allowed U.S citizens to reside there, also given the fact that Mexico was a poorer country and they were smaller, the U.S should have not declared war. Even though some people think that the Mexican-American War is never-ending, it will end. Therefore, the United States should not have gone to war.
