Romeo and Juilet PREDICT: Which events in Act I seem key to setting up the conflicts that will move the action of the rest of the play forward? EXPLAIN YOUR RESPONSE (LIST 2 OR 3)

Vocaloid:

Please do not copy-paste my response. Well, in act 1 there was already a big street fight between the Capulets and the Montagues, that already sets up and foreshadows future conflicts between the two houses later in the play. We also find out that Romeo is still moody/pining over Rosaline, so that sets up the future romance between Romeo and Juliet (I don’t think he’s met Juliet at this point, but it helps set up his character as someone who falls deeply in love easily and gets obsessed with someone)
