288 isn't the right answer. i'm pretty sure you would just multiply all the numbers then find the lengths of the other sides which are 2 and 5. so you would multiply all the numbers together. i'm pretty sure that what you would do.
MusicGeek:
so i'm pretty sure the answer would be 2880

;-;
martai:
U know u guys are just multiplying the numbers but it will not be 2880

I’m on my phone so I can’t really draw it out but
Pretend that missing chunk is filled in and imagine you have a big rectangle with length y and width z
Now look only at the missing white chunk. It looks like a rectangle with length w and width (z-x). Notice how the width is equal to the difference between z and x.
Now, our actual shape is the big blue rectangle minus the white chunk, or yz - (w)(z-x). You’re given all the w x y z values so plug them in and evaluate the area.

That's what I was doing! Good strategy, Right?

explain why its c
RIBLE11:
Because if you add all the parts together, they have a total of I think, 30-35, and c is the closest to that answer!
Vocaloid:
How did you get B/C?
y*z = 4*9 = 36
(w)(z-x) = 4(4-2) = 8
36 - 8 = 26
