I agree with @lovergirl , You should warm-up. I used to sing in choir, and we used special warm-up songs to get us ready for practice, or a competition. I am also in agreement with @lyds , good posture equals good voice, but don't overwork yourself. I suggest if you have a sore throat or anything that has to do with your throat feeling weird, I'd heat up some water with honey or a warm cup of tea, as my choir teacher advised. c:

yoooooooo! I miss you girl!!! I do agree for the most part, but don't try too hard or you'll end up in "stress mess"

Well I know a few
1. Believe in yourself.
2. Try your best.
3. No matter what people say don't let them stop you.
4. Practice and practice because I heard practice makes perfect.
5. Try to always try one part by one so you can start off slowly
6. Go somewhere that has an echo place so your song could sound loud and clear.

I sometimes sing myself and I suggest since I have been in some chorus classes you take a deep breath and try to project your voice keep some water also so you can stay hydrated and try recording yourself and find your vocal range
