whats the best way to start writing songs?

Honestly, you can write about anything when you're writing a song! For me it's past experiences, present experiences, and everything in between from first loves to heartbreaks to things that make you happy! It's not always gonna be perfect the first time around, you might want to change words or the title as you go along with it, but just remember not to rush the words, they will come to u! I write songs all the time I actually just wrote one about veterans ,but a song is basically a poem with a rythm and beat yk. Most importantly in a song it has to correlate and rhyme some and ofc make sense. If you want I can show u one of my that i wrote to help you orgainze and have a visual.

Well, first I would say think of what you want to write about. Once you have the idea of what your gonna sing about write the words on paper so you can just write or sing it out. I would say have a name for the song or a title so whoever will read or listen to it will like to know what the song is all about.
I don't usually write or sing songs so that's all I know, sorry. I tried. : /
