I was getting ready to surprise you
And while setting it up
You shoot me a text
You say we need to talk
I ask you what about

You tell me we’re breaking up
You tell me I’m not your type
It’s only been two weeks so far
Why leave me so soon

I had no words to say
No voice and no soul
Yet somehow I managed to say
Goodbye
I love you

The next day I find out that
Your dating someone new
I ask you who this person is
You reply to me very rude

You tell me he is someone
Much better than me
You say he’s your type unlike me
You say he’s hotter than me
You say he loves you more than me
You say he’s the one for you

I am lost for words
As I hear you say these words
I should have known
That we were too good to be true
So I walk away upset
Hurt by you

And guess who shows up at my door
One week later
You are the one standing there
I ask you what you want

You tell me you were wrong
You tell me he was harsh
You tell me he was not the one
You tell me you’re sorry
I am lost for words as I hear and see you speak

But I didn’t want what happened
To happen again to me
You hurt me very bad
Just for someone who didn’t
Really love or care for you

I saw I don’t care for your apology
I said it’s not going to happen again
I said you should have chosen better
I said you shouldn’t have pushed away
One who could have loved you more
I shut the door in your face and walked away from you

I really don’t care for people like you
People who take advantage of others’ kindness
People who don’t really care for you
So as you can see
If you treat me right
And truly love me

I shall always be by your side, and love you infinitely
