LilgurlLeilani:

factor: backwards factoring x^2 +7x+10

Rezo:

first we have to find out what multiplies to 10 and adds up to 7 so what two numbers do that?

Rezo:

@lilgurlleilani u there?

LilgurlLeilani:

oki

Rezo:

ill walk you through this

LilgurlLeilani:

ok

Rezo:

\[x^{2}+7x+10=?\]

Rezo:

next you find the two number that add up to 7 and multiply to 10

LilgurlLeilani:

so it would be 5*2+10 right

LilgurlLeilani:

then 5+2+7?

Rezo:

no you break the 7 and 10 up x^2 + 5x + 2x

Rezo:

then put them in parentheses

LilgurlLeilani:

ooooh

Rezo:

(x + 2)(x+5)

LilgurlLeilani:

oh thank you so much

Rezo:

youre welcome
