I tend to have a lot on my mind during 3-4 am sometimes and this is one of those times :’)

Midnight Wonders

I wonder what my life would be like,
If I were a different person.
Would I be here,
Or would I be in an entirely different reality?
If I didn’t try to succeed,
Wouldn’t I be failing?
Or would I just be the thing that doesn’t exist,
A natural-born genius?
If I had the things I don’t have,
would I still be the same old person?
Or would I be a better me?
The angel I try to be,
The tall, confident sunflower I idolize,
Or even the pure sheet of linen that was hung to dry?
What would I be without the filters I was given to work with?
